Wednesday January 22nd of 2020 will be a historic day in Ibiza, the F.C.Barcelona of the brand new coach Quique Setién and Leo Messi will visit the Can Misses stadium to play against UD Ibiza in the Spanish king’s cup 2020.
The club and the city of Ibiza are turning to make this historic match the most important sporting event on the island. The Can Misses stadium will have extra stands to reach a total capacity of 6,445 seats. The tickets offices already hangs the sold out sign. For those who have not been lucky enough to find a ticket to watch the game, the club will enable a giant screen in Es Patret pavillion for 700 people, thanks to the agreement reached between the club and ‘Dzn’.
UD Ibiza has remodeled the press room to accommodate all the journalists accredited for the match, the changing rooms and the surroundings of the stadium have been improved. Such is the media expectation to see the Messi, Griezmann, De Jong, Piqué, Jordi Alba, Rakitik, Busquets, Umtiti, Ansu Fati, Dembélé, Luis Suarez, Ter Stegen, Sergi Roberto, Arturo Vidal, Arthur or Riki Puig that main stadium stand will be enabled for the media, television cameras and also for commitments and club guests.
Ibiza’s coach, an old FC Barcelona, Pablo Alfaro will have the majority of the squad and will bet on an offensive football following true to his style of betting on having possession of the ball even facing the best team in the world. Pablo Alfaro is confident of having the possibility of passing this round as well as being able to play a close game against F.C. Barcelona.
For its part Quique Setién, will play his second game since his arrival at the FC Barcelona, the new coach will travel to Ibiza with the idea of wining the game and continuing with the process of adaptation with his new players. Luis Suárez and Ousmane Dembélé are still not available due to injury and will be the great absences of Barça. Ibiza fans hope to see the best player of the world play for the first time in Ibiza, Leo Messi together with other world-class stars such as Piqué, Arturo Vidal, Busquets, Jordi Alba, Rakitik, Griezman or Frenkie de Jong.
